I love NOLHA. I’ve known its Founder from back when I was first attempting health sales. He is a man of integrity and vision. NOLHA is a wonderful place to get ideas and to network with other agents.
There are two areas where NOLHA has benefited me. First, I am a veteran in employee benefits (individual & group health , dental, life and disability) and although intuitively I know what to do when it comes to prospecting and generating new business I find many of us like to put off doing the things we don’t want to do, and have found it motivating to sit in on webinars with an emphasis on marketing. Second, I don’t pretend to know everything about my business and through the exchange of information offered through an organization like NOLHA- I have increased my knowledge base.

I learn a lot from the comments of other agents in how they manage business challenges. On NOLHA, this information is neatly grouped for relevant content. No one has all the answers to marketing (lead generation), sales (handling prospect objections), commission issues, etc. but seeing how others handle an issue is helpful to form my own approach. Not every agent does things the same way nor does every issue have the same complications. This is a great resource for the independent agent.
